JOSEF NEWGARDEN
HONDA INDY 200
TEAM: TEAM PENSKE
STARTED: 2ND
FINISHED: 1ST
“Well, I’ve got a great crew. When they give me a car like this, I don’t want to say it’s easy, but it’s easier at least. I think we’ve been hitting on all four cylinders, no pun intended, but these guys were awesome this weekend. We had good stops. It was just a really fast car. Reds or blacks, it didn’t matter. The car was fast. So, I just tried to do my job.”

SPENCER PIGOT
HONDA INDY 200
TEAM: ED CARPENTER RACING
STARTED: 16TH
FINISHED: 19TH
”First of all, it was great to even make the start of the race. All of the guys did an amazing job building up a spare car for me in just a few hours, so a huge thanks to them. As far as the race, we had some damage to the rear of the car at the start that really didn’t make it easy. Either way, I don’t think it was going to be our day. I’m frustrated with how it all went, but hopefully the 20 car guys can rebound in Pocono with Ed (Carpenter) and I’ll jump back in at Watkins Glen.”

NEIL ALBERICO
INDY LIGHTS
TEAM: CARLIN
RACE 1 FINISH: 6TH
RACE 2 FINISH: 9TH
“The number 22 car had a tough weekend, where we were set back in qualifying but we fought as hard as we could. The season isn’t over yet, I am looking forward to testing in Gateway on August 10th. Testing will help us prepare for the race at the end of August, where we will definitely be fighting for a podium finish. Thanks to Rising Star Racing for the continued support.”
OLIVER ASKEW
USF2000
TEAM: CAPE MOTORSPORTS
RACE 1 FINISH: 1ST
RACE 2 FINISH: 4TH
“I am incredibly happy to collect our seventh win of the season with Cape Motorsports. The penalty from the start of Race 1 doesn’t change my mindset. The focus is to just keep on winning races and the championship will come in the end…there was a ton of pressure going into this weekend and that pressure is still there. We’ll have a 13-point lead going into the final two races at Watkins Glen, where we will continue to perform at a high level.”
