IOWA CORN INDY 300
TEAM: TEAM PENSKE
STARTED: 16TH
FINISHED: 6TH
“It was one of those not bad, but not great days. The Fitzgerald Glider Kits Chevrolet was really good, but we just couldn’t get over the hump. Everyone is so equal now that it really is challenging to make up large amounts of ground. We were a little behind the eight ball after qualifying 16th, but that’s the draw sometimes.”

TEAM: CARLIN
STARTED: 7TH
FINISHED: 11TH
“It was a very tough race today after we had been so quick in practice the day before. It was a big team effort, and we just missed the set-up for race trim. I have full faith in our guys at Carlin to fight our way right back up to the front next weekend in Toronto. It’s an amazing place to race and we’ll have two races to get it done!”

STARTED: 1ST
FINISHED: 1ST
“I had no experience on an oval at all coming into this year, so I don’t think anyone knew what to expect. The team told me it was halfway through the race and I couldn’t believe it because I thought that should have been the race distance! We struggled a bit yesterday in practice but made a great change last night and were quick today. It’s hard to pass here, but we knew if we got the pole and through the first couple of corners we’d be set. From here we just take it one weekend at a time and do our best.”
