JOSEF NEWGARDEN
INDYCAR GRAND PRIX
TEAM: TEAM PENSKE
STARTED: 3RD
FINISHED: 11TH
“I think we had some sort of glitch toward the end of the race with pit speed, which resulted in us getting penalized twice. It was definitely a tough day. We had a bit of a slower start than we expected, but the car was a rocket at the end. We just couldn’t capitalize, but we definitely had a podium in us. We’ll move on to the next race and try to win the big one here in Indianapolis!”

 SPENCER PIGOT

INDYCAR GRAND PRIX
TEAM: ED CARPENTER RACING
STARTED: 16TH
FINISHED: 9TH
“It seemed yesterday that we struggled when the track got hotter, but today we didn’t. We made some good changes overnight, and the car was really good. Our tires were some of the best out there and later on during the stints we could definitely catch a bunch of guys. It’s encouraging, but finishing ninth when we know we could have been better is tough. We will try and show that our next time out.”
NEIL ALBERICO
INDY LIGHTS
TEAM: CARLIN
RACE 1 FINISH: 4TH
RACE 2 FINISH: 6TH
“Overall we had a very strong weekend here on the Indy road course. The Carlin boys gave me every opportunity to race up front each session we were on track. If we keep doing what we’re doing and qualifying up front, things should eventually go our way! It’s a long championship, and I’m really encouraged that we’re very much in the hunt!”
